TYGA BP PRIMARY SCHOOL GRADING

 TUESDAY 6th DECEMBER 2011

Congratulations to all those that graded on Tuesday 6th December!  Thirty children were thrilled to be presented with their new colour belts by the Grandmaster, having shown an impressive level of skill and effort throughout their grading.  The children, ranging from 5  – 11 years in age, achieved grades that included 8 yellow, 8 orange, 1 green and 13 blue belts.  A presentation was made to the Grandmaster thanking him for his dedication and effort in bringing us all TYGA. The children included some of their thoughts and feelings about training in TYGA.  We look forward to all the joy and strength that TYGA will bring us in 2012!

TYGA KARATE MAKES ME FEEL …

Powerful, electric, very happy, confident, strong, safe, experienced, defensive, like fighting, special, glad, kickey, happy, strong and protected, proud, amazing, like getting a black belt, excellent and proud of myself, powerful and like I’m going to be a black belt soon, fab and great, energetic, like I’m a knight!

I ENJOY TYGA KARATE BECAUSE ……

It’s fun and hard working / you get belts! / it’s fun and you get to learn new things, we can fight people away / we’re strong / because the fighting is the best, it makes me feel brave because we learn stuff / you learn how to defend yourself and you get to learn lots of awesome TYGA moves!

TYGA WORLD MARTIAL ARTS CHAMPIONSHIPS 2011

SUNDAY 13TH NOVEMBER

Well done to all the TYGA BP competitors who took part in the TYGA World Martial Arts Championships this year. Students thought that it was a ‘fantastic’ day, not only because they all took home a medal but also because they enjoyed watching and learning from all the other competitors and martial arts on display.  Thanks to the Grandmaster for organising such a brilliant event.  Looking forward to building on our success next year!
